On Saturday we looked briefly at a piece on how the Far Left has used the internet and small donations to capture the Democratic Party.  On Sunday we looked at a recent commencement address from Nancy Pelosi and  just how over-the-top superlative her rhetoric has become.  Today we come upon a rather startling statistic (HT: Instapundit), “25% of “very liberal” Americans say violence can be justified to achieve political goals compared with 3% of “very conservative” Americans.”  One of the two major American political parties is moving towards the very liberal end of the spectrum with increasingly apocalyptic

Nancy Pelosi gave a commencement address.  Nothing unusual about that.  The speech has; however, become a bit controversial.  There is a good political reason why.  But there is also an undiscussed religious one.. . .

Katie Porter.  Remember her?  She is still in the California gubernatorial race, but like a race car after a disastrous pit stop, she is in the the back of the field.  Her crime was cursing a staffer on a video call and it went viral.  It seems as if demeaning insult is her primary form of debate.  This week however, she launched an ad that she no doubt thought would fix everything, yet horribly missed the mark.  In the viral video she screams the f-word at a staffer that gets “in her shot.”  In the ad she kindly asks the staffers standing behind her to get out of her shot – *giggle* — *giggle.*  And

Night before last south central Mississippi suffered a string of tornadoes doing immense damage.  I have family in the region that are fine – thankfully.  Last night I called local friends here in East Tennessee that also have family in the area and they had not even heard about the storms.  That, dear reader, is a massive media fail.  For the moment, Team Rubicon is likely on the way if not there already.  The United Cajun Navy is also reported on scene.  Please donate.  And now, let the media bashing commence.. . .

The host is very worried about the 14-point deal with Iran that has the chattering classes chattering at hyper speed.  I don’t like it either, but I tend to be in the Mark Levin camp here – I don’t believe it.  The appeasers in the administration may have leaked it as a trial balloon.  Trump may have leaked it to buffalo the Iranians a bit.  Or a thousand other things.  Who knows, but it has an air of significance and that is troubling.  But then, I am deeply pessimistic about negotiations – period, full stop.. . .

As the military conflict with Iran has progressed to its current state it has been quite revelatory concerning our domestic politics.  It is not just that is widened the left/right divide, blah, blah, blah.  We need to think about it in far more serious terms. Although…. . .

California has one of the highest tax burdens in the nation.  It also has one of the biggest economies in the world.  That tax burden combined with that economy should be producing a massive pool of money.  And yet each year, California finds itself having to overcome a deficit situation – usually on paper only.  Anyone with any sense would have to conclude California has a spending problem.  Gee, how could that be?. . .

Minneapolis suffered an actual communist May Day Rally this past Friday.  I wish it were surprising, but it’s not.  What is astonishing; however, is the utter ignorance of  some of the participants.. . .
