It’s universal – everyone thinks Biden is out at the convention, or before.  Leading Democrats, legacy media, all of them saw Biden fail and fail miserably last night.  But then I speculated yesterday that the entire debate was a set-up to move Biden out of the way.  Too many shoved the knife in him way too fast for those to be hot takes – they were talking points.  I honestly don’t know what is more pathetic, Biden’s performance or the fact that his ego, and the Democrat apparatus, has kept him there this long.  The delusions go much further than the White House residence.  Last night was a signal not just that Biden is failing but that the Democratic Party is quite broken.

There is fraud here, either by White House insiders that kept the true state of the president’s health from everyone’s view. or by the party as a whole that did the same thing to the American people.  That’s the bottom line – last night was a stunt to bring their con to an end – they think they played it in a way that will permit them to continue the con but what actually happened was that we now know they are cons.  Lying, thieving cons.

How will they overcome that?

In yesterday’s post I dismissed “next in line,” Vice President Harris, saying she is as incoherent as the president but without the excuse.  The primary point of that post yesterday was to list Gavin Newsom’s countless disqualifications.  Michelle Obama’s name is raised as an “outsider” untainted by all this, but please – who in the world do you think has been perpetrating this con?  Team Obama!  Biden’s staff, who have to be in on the con regardless of how widespread it is or is not, are all Obama holdovers.  Untainted my sainted aunt – the woman is neck deep in this con.

And here is the thing – even if the con is limited to White House insiders – the rest of the party had to willfully suspend their suspicions in pursuit of their own agendas.  Even if they did not con us, they willfully bought into the con to maintain their power.  They placed their own interests ahead of the best for the nation.  If not cons, they are so narcissistic as to be disqualified from office as well.

Anyone that buys into the Democratic Party right now, regardless of who they sub in for Biden, is a fool.  The party as a whole cannot be trusted.  The amount of mess from the fan that has hit any specific individual will vary, but they are all dirty to some extent.

The only question the Democrats face now is whether to let it die and build a new party or try and resuscitate what they have.  But here’s the thing – even if they manage to get their heart beating and breathing on its own, the project of regaining actual health is a project that will take far more time than between now and the election – if it is even possible to regain full health.  They are on hospice – trying to make their death as painless as possible.

I pray for the grace to forgive.  That the nation has been conned is now quite clear.  Everything that has gone so disastrously wrong during this administration – from the prices at the grocery store to the unaffordability of housing to Iran being within a moment of nuclear weapons to the thirteen dead at Abbey Gate – is part of the con.  That’s hard to forgive – very, very hard to forgive.
