The 40% President

My Washington Examiner column reviews the president’s sinking approval rating.
Whatever one thinks of the debt deal, it was not the president’s finest hour. In fact his erratic and often preening performance left him on the sidelines fuming and irrelevant. Now that the MSM will have to cover the fading “recovery,” it is hard to see how these numbers turn around. When even the New York Times admits that the president “emerges from the showdown in a diminished state,” you know the damage done to his standing in the public’s eyes is immense.
