Holy Smokes Batman!
The new Gallup numbers are extraordinary. Americans are going to vote against Democrats from top to bottom, and they are not going to be diverted by Gloria Allred, secret tapes, or any other stunt. It is a massive rejection of President Obama’s policies and those of Pelosi and Reid.
And consider this: The gap may widen, not narrow, as more and more people focus on the dismal results of the blank political check given the Democrats in 2008. The American people made a huge mistake two years ago. They won’t be fooled again.
UPDATE: Stories like this one make Democrats moan and Republicans march: $700,000 federal grant for a play about climate change. From the story:
UPDATE #2: Hyscience comments on the Gallup numbers. Allahpundit simply says “Oh my.” Memeorandum.com ought to have this story at the top, and be collecting responses. I generally check Memeorandum a few times a day, but as the election draws closer its decidedly left-wing tilt when it comes to stories, placement of stories, and favored links sources is showing. The idea that Josh Marshall’s take on this poll is the key opinion link, listed top left on the page, is just laughable, but that is how it is showing right now.
There is room on the right for a similar service to Memeorandom’s that doesn’t skew so left. Why the folks running the site are not defending the objectivity perception is beyond me. Valuable internet turf shouldn’t be surrendered because of political bias unless the primary purpose of the site is ideological.
UPDATE #3: Out the door for the red-eye to Atlanta and tomorrow night’s event with Michael Medved and Steve Emerson. The common cold has killed my voice, so Carol Platt Liebau will be in for me tomorrow. Hopefully a back-and-forth across the continent won’t turn a chest cold into a week of laryngitis.
